Ministry of Justice: Replacing official vehicles with EVs follows Executive Yuan policy

The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) stated on May 28 that the Correctional Administration's budget for replacing official vehicles with electric ones is in line with the Executive Yuan's vehicle electrification plan. In response to criticism from KMT lawmaker Weng Xiao-ling, who questioned the necessity of replacing vehicles after eight years regardless of mileage, the MOJ explained that the policy aims to achieve full electrification of official small cars by 2025. The ministry also defended its budget reallocation practices as being in accordance with relevant laws.
