President Lai Ching-te met with the 'WHO Action Group' at the Presidential Office on the 28th. This year, 11 diplomatic allies proposed Taiwan's participation in the WHA as an observer, and 26 countries plus the EU publicly voiced their support. The President emphasized that Taiwan should not be excluded from the global health system, stating that Taiwan has the capability and determination to work with the world to contribute to public health and the development of AI-driven medical care. He also praised the results of the 'Taiwan Smart Healthcare and Health Industry Exhibition' co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, highlighting the international attention Taiwan's medical technology has received.
