Matthew Perry Ketamine Death Case: Personal Assistant Sentenced to 3 Years and 5 Months

According to CNA (Los Angeles), the personal assistant who repeatedly injected ketamine into 'Friends' star Matthew Perry has been sentenced to prison, becoming the fifth person convicted in the actor's fatal overdose case. 61-year-old Kenneth Iwamasa was sentenced to 3 years and 5 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiring to distribute ketamine resulting in death. Prosecutors stated that in the days leading up to Perry's death in his hot tub in 2023, Iwamasa injected him with ketamine over 25 times, including at least three times on the day he died. Court documents indicate that on the day of his death, Perry told Iwamasa, who lived in his Los Angeles mansion, to 'shoot me up with a big one.' Perry's mother expressed that the family had trusted Iwamasa deeply. The defense argued that Iwamasa was merely a hired helper who could not say no to his wealthy employer.
