Following the conclusion of the World Health Assembly (WHA), Minister of Health and Welfare Shih Chung-liang reported on the 28th that the delegation achieved two major breakthroughs: the first international press conference held by a 'dual-minister' team (Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung and Health Minister Shih) and the inaugural 'Taiwan Smart Medical and Health Industry Expo'. Although Taiwan has not received an invitation for 10 consecutive years, the delegation actively engaged in international exchanges. Minister Shih emphasized that 11 allies proposed Taiwan's participation as an observer, with a total of 26 countries and the EU publicly supporting Taiwan. The smart medical expo showcased achievements in AI medical imaging and regenerative medicine, attracting over 1,000 visitors in two days. Plans are underway to expand the event next year.
