At the Asian U20 Athletics Championships held in Hong Kong, 17-year-old Taiwanese athlete Lo Sheng-chin won a silver medal in the men's 5000m race walk on the 29th, finishing with a time of 19:56.17. Despite the challenging conditions of 31°C heat and over 70% humidity, Lo stayed with the lead pack to secure the podium finish. Coach Weng Chu-yi credited the success to training in Taiwan's similarly hot and humid climate. Lo is now focusing on the World U20 Athletics Championships in August, where he aims to finish in the top eight globally.
