CNA Tokyo, May 29. The 'Colors' exhibition, themed around color, opened on the 27th at Sennyu-ji Temple in Kyoto. It features works by Taiwanese artist Tsai Er-ping, Taiwanese ceramicist Chang Yi-ming, and Japanese photographer Takashi Okamoto, who resides in Taiwan. Through ceramics, photography, and mixed media, the three artists interpret the language of color between humans and nature. Curator Chen Hsin-ting noted that as an imperial temple, Sennyu-ji provides a unique historical space for contemporary art to engage in a visual dialogue. Chang Yi-ming showcases his unique 'Rainbow Ware,' while Tsai Er-ping presents his 'Color-Inlaid Porcelain' butterfly series. Takashi Okamoto displays 30 photographs of sunrises in Hualien. The exhibition runs until June 9.
