Taiwan Stocks Rise 2,464 Points This Week; Market Cap Hits Record 145.9 Trillion TWD

The Taiwan stock market continued to climb this week, with the weighted index closing at 44,732.94 points, setting a new record. The weekly gain was 2,464.97 points, or 5.83%. According to the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the total market capitalization of all listed companies rose to 145.91 trillion TWD, an increase of approximately 8.03 trillion TWD from the previous week. Among industry indices, the 'other electronics' sector saw the highest gain at 10.88%. The semiconductor sector dominated trading, accounting for 43.47% of the total transaction value.
