Construction Accident at Chiayi School Stadium; Worker Killed by Falling Material

At Lantan Junior High School in Chiayi City, a construction accident occurred on the morning of the 29th at a stadium under construction when a rope holding roof panels snapped. A worker, surnamed Chiang, who was working on the roof, was unable to dodge the falling panels and was struck, resulting in his death. When emergency services arrived, the worker was already deceased. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has ordered an immediate work stoppage at the site and has launched an investigation into potential equipment deficiencies or management negligence.
