AFP reported that Swiatek, who has won four French Open titles to date, is the third seed in this tournament and will face Ukrainian player Marta Kostyuk in the next round. Kostyuk is in hot form; after this victory, she has achieved a 15-match winning streak on clay this season and has won titles at the Madrid Open and the Rouen Open.
