Hsinchu Gas Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for industry-academia cooperation with Dong Tai High School today. County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke stated that this is the first time the company has collaborated with a high school since its inception, with six students joining this year to help cultivate technical talent for the natural gas industry. Hsinchu Gas General Manager Chiu Shih-chang told reporters that the participating students have already obtained gas fuel piping licenses, which are essential for the plumbing and gas industry. The company aims to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism. Dong Tai High School Chairman Huang Shih-teng expressed gratitude for the opportunity for students to explore future careers early. Hsinchu Gas will provide internship and work-study opportunities for six students from the school's plumbing and electrical technology department, starting June 3 and July 1.
