Japanese Men's Volleyball National Team Member Shunichiro Sato Arrested for Marijuana Possession

Shunichiro Sato (26), a member of the Japanese men's national volleyball team, has been arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department for possessing dried marijuana at a pachinko parlor in Itabashi Ward, Tokyo. Sato has admitted to the charges and suggested he used marijuana overseas. The Japan Volleyball Association has removed him from the national team roster. The four other players who were with him at the time tested negative in urine tests.
