CNA Kaohsiung, May 29. The Qiaotou District Prosecutors Office recently received intelligence regarding online sales of 'zombie vapes' (etomidate). Under the direction of prosecutors, police conducted a sting operation. The suspect, Su, rammed a police vehicle and fled via National Highway 1. He was later apprehended in Tainan. Police seized 24 zombie vapes, 205 drug-laced coffee packets, and 14 bags of ketamine. Prosecutors successfully requested his detention, citing the risk of flight and repeat offenses, particularly given his prior record of drug-impaired driving. Chief Prosecutor Kuo Ching-tung emphasized that the office will continue to use high-tech investigative methods to combat drug-impaired driving.
