National Taiwan University held its graduation ceremony today, where Nathan Thadeo Yoashi, an international student who came to Taiwan on the recommendation of conservationist Jane Goodall, delivered a speech. He expressed gratitude for the knowledge gained in Taiwan and reflected on the resilience and warmth of the people. Born into a poor farming family in Tanzania, Nathan studied hard under difficult conditions and eventually received full financial support from Jane Goodall to finish high school. He arrived in Taiwan in 2017 and later pursued a doctoral degree at NTU's Graduate Institute of Environmental Engineering. Nathan stated that Taiwan is 'truly warm' and dreams of building schools in his hometown to give children a chance to change their destinies.
