'Little Ah-Shin' wins bronze at Gymnastics World Cup, Li Yi-chen realizes his dream

From being known as "Little Ah-Shin" to winning a bronze medal in the men's floor exercise at the Gymnastics World Cup Challenge Cup in Koper, Li Yi-chen has achieved his first international adult competition medal. Li stated that this is a major milestone for him and he is moved to have finally realized his childhood dream. Li, who played the young version of Lin Yu-hsin in the movie "Jump Ashin!," earned a bronze medal with a difficulty score of 5.1 and an execution score of 7.900, totaling 13.000 points. Li told Central News Agency that this medal is a significant milestone, as he had entered the National Sports Training Center as a sparring partner for "Pommel Horse Prince" Lee Chih-kai. After six months of training, he made it into the third phase of the training team. Li mentioned that he has always followed in the footsteps of his seniors, Lee Chih-kai and Tang Chia-hung, and it felt special to compete alongside them. With guidance from coach Lin Yu-hsin, he was able to overcome his nervousness and showcase his training results. Li hopes to qualify for the Asian Games next.
