Manager Yeh Praises Lin Chao-En's Potential; Pitcher Prioritizes Velocity for Future Overseas Move

Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions' 22-year-old pitcher Lin Chao-En delivered a strong performance yesterday, earning high praise from Wei Chuan Dragons manager Yeh Chun-chang, who noted his potential to become a top-tier Taiwanese left-hander. While Lin has long harbored ambitions of playing abroad, Lions manager Lin Yueh-ping emphasizes that he must first improve his velocity to compete at a higher level.

Lin pitched 6.1 innings against the Dragons yesterday, tying his career high, allowing only 3 hits and 2 runs while striking out 6. Manager Yeh remarked, "If he stays healthy, he will be exceptional. His movement and arm angle are excellent."

Manager Lin Yueh-ping acknowledged that many domestic and international scouts are watching Lin. Due to a ligament injury last year, the team is currently using a "pitch 1, rest 10" rotation to protect him. "We need to protect him so he can continue to grow.
