Individual Apologizes After Unauthorized Vehicle Entry at Yushan Trailhead

CNA Chiayi County, May 30. Regarding reports of a private vehicle entering the Yushan trailhead, the individual involved, Ye Guo-xian, issued a statement today apologizing for the incident. Ye explained that he was following a vehicle in front of him and accidentally entered the restricted area of Yushan National Park. Despite his explanation, the act violated national park regulations and caused public outcry. The police department admitted that the guard on duty at the Tataka station failed to perform a proper check due to a personal acquaintance and promised strict disciplinary action. The police denied any pressure from superiors. Ye is currently a part-time lecturer at Wufeng University of Science and Technology, though the university clarified he is no longer a full-time faculty member.
