Considering scheduling and weather, US military aircraft cancel training takeoffs and landings on Japanese ship

The reasons cited were operational considerations and forecasts of bad weather. The Kaga is undergoing modifications to function as an aircraft carrier, and this training was part of that process. Additionally, the planned port call at US Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni on June 1 was also canceled due to the inability to prepare the necessary equipment for the training.
