UK Foreign Secretary to Visit China for Strategic Dialogue

The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced today that UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper will visit China from June 1 to 3 to attend the 11th 'UK-China Strategic Dialogue.' Reuters reported that the UK government also confirmed the visit, noting that Cooper will meet with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Vice President Han Zheng on the 2nd. Cooper is scheduled to travel to Shenzhen on the 3rd to attend a conference focused on science and technology. During his visit to China in January, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and President Xi Jinping announced the 'restarting of UK-China relations,' pledging to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, and technology. Following her visit to China, Cooper will travel to India.
