Taipei, May 31 (CNA) - The four-day Asian U20 Athletics Championships concluded today, with the Taiwan team winning 2 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze medals, ranking 6th among all participating countries. Gold medals were won by Dai You-qin in the women's javelin and Lin Pei-hsuan in the women's heptathlon. Silver medals were secured by athletes including Chien Tzu-chieh, who broke the national record in the men's 3000m. Wang Ching-cheng, secretary-general of the Chinese Taipei Athletics Association, stated that many young talents showed great potential and that the association would continue to invest resources to help them. The association also announced cash rewards for the medalists.
