Central News Agency, Yilan, May 31. Twenty-five tourists drove to Nanao Sea Cave this morning but were blocked by high tides and rough waves. The Yilan County Fire Bureau dispatched rescue teams, and after about two hours, all 25 individuals were safely rescued. The Fire Bureau received a report around 10:00 AM that seven vehicles were unable to pass at a location 4.6 km south of Mysterious Beach. Fortunately, there was no immediate danger to life. The Fire Bureau dispatched the 4th Battalion, Nanao Branch, and Guanyin Branch. By 10:45 AM, the commander reported that while vehicles were stuck, people could walk along the cliff. With the assistance of the Coast Guard's 4WD vehicles, the tourists were able to drive out as the tide receded. By noon, all individuals had safely left the area.
