The Philippines will hold its presidential election in 2028. The latest survey indicates that Vice President Sara Duterte, daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte, remains the frontrunner. The survey, conducted by Pulse Asia for the think tank Stratbase, shows that in a hypothetical matchup against Leni Robredo, the former Vice President and current mayor of Naga, Duterte leads with 51% support compared to Robredo's 41%. Duterte's strength lies in her family's stronghold in Mindanao, where she enjoys 91% support. However, she is currently facing an impeachment trial in the Senate, which could lead to a lifetime ban from public office. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has yet to endorse a successor.
