Central News Agency, Taipei, June 1. As AI technology impacts the media landscape and content generation, the 52nd Tseng Hsu-pai Journalism Award has announced its incentive guidelines. Applications will be accepted from July 1 to 15, encouraging reporting on public service, local revitalization, environmental sustainability, and academic works in journalism, while requiring disclosure of AI usage in submitted works. The Tseng Hsu-pai Journalism Award has long encouraged high-quality journalistic works that combine observation of current events with social concern, hoping to lead the media ecosystem toward positive development. The Tseng Hsu-pai Foundation stated that amidst the multiple challenges and narrative opportunities brought by new media technology, they expect works to deepen reporting on public issues and present content close to the pulse of society. The 52nd incentive guidelines cover journalists, academic workers, and university students. The awards are divided into four main axes: 'Public Service Reporting Award' (text, video, audio, digital innovation), 'Journalism Academic Work Award', 'Sinyi Realty Community Building and Local Revitalization Reporting Award', and 'Taipower University Student Environmental and Ecological Sustainability Reporting Award' (text, video, short video). Among these, the 'Public Service Reporting Award', 'Journalism Academic Work Award', and 'Sinyi Realty Community Building and Local Revitalization Reporting Award' each grant a prize of NT$100,000 and a trophy. The 'Taipower University Student Environmental and Ecological Sustainability Reporting Award' includes first and excellence prizes in each category to encourage young students to engage in environmental and sustainability reporting. The foundation reminds that entries must have been published or broadcast between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, and must meet the qualifications and formats of each award. All applications must be submitted online; detailed information can be found on the official website.
