Meanwhile, Los Angeles Dodgers Single-A outfielder Ke Ching-hsien became the hero, hitting a walk-off single in the bottom of the 9th to lead his team to victory. In the Athletics vs. Diamondbacks Double-A game, Lin started on the mound. Despite a shaky first inning, he settled in, finishing 7 innings with 88 pitches, allowing 4 hits, 2 strikeouts, and 1 earned run. The team won 2-1. In the Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks Single-A game, Ke started as the cleanup hitter and DH.
