Following reports that police officers in Zhudong, Hsinchu County, accepted subsidies from the Police Friends Association for overseas travel, concerns regarding discipline were raised. The Zhudong Precinct of the Hsinchu County Police Bureau stated today that all subsidies were handled in accordance with regulations, with the association covering part of the costs and officers paying the rest. Regarding allegations of improper hospitality and recent personnel transfers, the police clarified that subsidies followed the association's bylaws and that personnel changes were routine based on operational needs. The police emphasized that the association's purpose is to support police duties and reward grassroots officers, and all funds are used according to established norms.
