Hsinchu City Councilor Tsai Hui-ting pointed out on the 1st that many old, abandoned motorcycles are occupying free public parking spaces for long periods. She called on the city government to amend regulations to manage this. The Hsinchu City Transportation Department stated that vehicles parked for more than 15 consecutive days without owner intervention can be removed according to regulations, and they will strengthen patrols to ensure orderly parking. Tsai noted that some of these motorcycles are severely damaged and rusted, and some even have political stickers, effectively depriving citizens of parking rights. The city government plans to improve management to ensure effective use of public space.
