Railway Bento Festival Kicks Off on the 5th, with 15 Japanese Companies Participating

The state-owned Taiwan Railways Corporation announced today that the Railway Bento Festival is scheduled to take place from June 5th to 8th in the main hall of Taipei Main Station. This year's theme is "New Era of Bento Journeys," and the number of exhibitors has reached a new high, with 15 Japanese railway operators participating. At the pre-exhibition press conference, Taiwan Railways stated that international operators, cultural and creative brands, and cross-industry brands will participate. They will also unveil for the first time the annual limited-edition bento boxes developed by the catering departments in Taipei, Qidu, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Hualien, and Taitung, aiming to combine "flavor heritage" with "innovative textures." According to Taiwan Railways, the most highly anticipated items are the "Eel Fragrance Wooden Box Bento," "Precious Feather Chicken Steamer Bento," "Eel Satisfaction Wooden Box Bento," and "Surf and Turf Steamer Bento," all crafted to the highest professional standards. Additionally, they will collaborate with the National Railway Museum Preparatory Office to launch classic bentos featuring the S212 and S206 diesel locomotives, turning the bento into a collectible cultural medium through nostalgic visual design.
