The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) implemented a new license renewal system for elderly drivers yesterday, lowering the age from 75 to 70. Shen Wen-cheng, a celebrity serving as the ambassador for the initiative, visited the Taichung Motor Vehicles Office today to complete the physical examination and training course, successfully receiving his new license. MOTC Deputy Minister Chen Yen-po and other officials were present to promote the new policy. Shen expressed that the process is meaningful and encourages elderly drivers to stay informed about traffic safety. The MOTC provides one-stop services to ensure convenience for seniors.
