NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang held a keynote speech at the GTC Taipei conference today. The supply chain slide displayed during his presentation included over 300 Taiwanese companies and institutions. In addition to suppliers like TSMC, the list unexpectedly featured several restaurants that Huang frequents during his visits to Taiwan, including Zhuan Yao, Wang Ji Fucheng Rice Dumplings, Hua Niang, and Fu Ba Wang Pork Knuckles, which drew laughter from the audience. In recent years, the GTC technical conference has become a bellwether for the AI industry, and today it gathered many heavyweight industry figures, including Quanta Chairman Barry Lam, Wistron Chairman Simon Lin, and Inventec Chairman Jack Yeh. Huang took the stage to applause and cheers, shouting, "It's great to be home," and introduced his parents, who were in the audience. Huang stated that NVIDIA's ecosystem extends to the upstream of the entire supply chain, saying, "In Taiwan, everything starts here," and continues downstream to data centers and end-users. He noted that the companies collaborating with NVIDIA this year have grown incredibly. Huang then displayed the NVIDIA ecosystem slide, specifically pointing out the restaurants he loves, which sparked laughter among the attendees.
