10-Vehicle Pileup on National Highway 2 in Taoyuan, 7 Injured

A multi-vehicle pileup occurred on the evening of June 2 on National Highway 2 in Taoyuan's Bade District, involving one large truck and nine passenger cars. Seven people were injured and taken to the hospital; all were conscious and not in life-threatening condition. The Taoyuan City Fire Department received the report at 6:24 PM regarding the accident at the 12.9-kilometer mark on the westbound lane. The incident caused temporary traffic congestion.
