Traffic Accident on National Highway 1 near Kaohsiung, Congestion Clearing

A traffic accident occurred early this morning near the Kaohsiung Science Park Interchange on National Highway 1, temporarily blocking the inner and middle lanes and causing traffic congestion. The scene has since been cleared. Police stated that it was a single-vehicle accident, the driver had no obvious injuries, and traffic is gradually easing. According to the Police Radio Station, the accident occurred around 6:32 AM at the 342.4 km mark southbound, where a heavy truck allegedly hit a guardrail. The incident caused a backup of approximately 9 kilometers. The Fifth Highway Police Brigade reported that the scene was cleared around 7:34 AM, and traffic is returning to normal with no significant congestion remaining.
