CNA reporter Guan Rui-ping, Miaoli County, June 2. National Dahu Agricultural and Industrial Vocational High School recently received a donation of four plots of land totaling approximately 109 pings from construction executive Lin Zhuang-bin. The school honored the donor during today's graduation ceremony, stating the land would be used as a teaching site for the horticulture department to help cultivate agricultural talent. The school noted that Lin, through the recommendation of Li Gui-fu, deputy executive of the Central Taiwan Joint Services Center, donated the land adjacent to the school. Lin, who prefers to keep his philanthropy low-profile, hopes to support the school's development. Principal Liu Yu-ling stated that the land is ideally located for horticultural learning, and the school plans to build greenhouses and vegetable planting areas for student internships. Liu called it a 'precious gift to education,' noting that it will greatly benefit students in learning smart agriculture technologies such as environmental control and automated irrigation.
