Singer Xie Zhenting was indicted by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office for intimidation after allegedly brandishing a knife during a dispute with his ex-girlfriend two years ago. During the Taipei District Court proceedings, Xie repeatedly failed to appear despite summons, and authorities were unable to locate him. Consequently, the court ordered the forfeiture of his NT$50,000 bail and will issue a warrant for his arrest. On January 5, 2024, Taipei police responded to a report of a dispute on Bade Road, where Xie was found restrained by security with a fruit knife on the ground. Xie claimed the conflict stemmed from a rental deposit dispute and denied intent to harm. After failing to appear for initial questioning, he was previously wanted until his arrest on October 23, 2024. Following his indictment for violating the Personal Data Protection Act and obstruction of freedom, his continued absence from court led to the current forfeiture order and pending warrant.
