According to the Central News Agency, China Airlines unveiled its new Boeing 787 Premium Economy class at COMPUTEX Taipei. The cabin features 28 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration, incorporating five new design elements: leather footrests, smartphone holders, rose-gold reading lights, six-way adjustable headrests, and privacy shells. The in-flight entertainment system includes 15.6-inch 4K screens, smartphone integration as a remote, and Bluetooth connectivity. President Chen Han-ming stated that the airline is upgrading both hardware and software to meet the needs of younger travelers. The 787s will initially serve regional routes such as Seoul and Osaka before expanding to medium-to-long-haul flights. Meanwhile, EVA Air is also participating in the exhibition, showcasing its 4th generation Premium Economy seats.
