(Central News Agency, New York, June 4, Combined Foreign News) US fabless semiconductor company Broadcom's revenue outlook fell short of expectations, putting pressure on chip stocks and causing major Wall Street indices to open mostly lower.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened up 299 points, or 0.59%, at 50,986.10.

The S&P 500 opened down 37.1 points, or 0.49%, at 7,516.54.
