(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 4) Since its launch on New Year's Day 2026, the Cultural Voucher program has been claimed by 1.345 million people, achieving a claim rate of 66% and generating spending of over NT$10.3 billion. The Ministry of Culture stated today that with only one month left in the Q2 campaign, it encourages young people to attend theater performances.
This year, the Ministry has partnered with four popular IPs: 'Huang Ama's Harem Life (Huang Ama)', 'Pixia Organization (Black Beer)', 'Chuchu Mei', and 'Strange Things Institute (Director)'. These IPs will accompany users through themed cultural experiences across four quarters. The spokesperson for Q2 is 'Pixia Organization (Black Beer)', with the theme mission focused on performing arts.
In a press release today, the Ministry explained that this year's Cultural Voucher app has been fully upgraded with 'gamification' features. Users can collect badges by completing missions, participate in weekly check-ins to level up, and earn bonus points and IP merchandise.
In Q2, purchasing at least two youth-seat tickets will earn users a 'Pixia Organization' badge. Additionally, each ticket can receive a rebate of up to 300 points, with no limit on the number of rebates.
According to Ministry statistics, 16,000 youth-seat tickets have been sold since April. Cumulatively this year, over 53,000 tickets for performing arts have been purchased with Cultural Vouchers, with youth seats accounting for 64%.
As the Q2 campaign enters its final month, the Ministry stated that venues and troupes across Taiwan have planned numerous exclusive bonus activities to encourage young people to attend plays and concerts.
For example, the Keelung Performing Arts Center, Taoyuan Iron Rose Arts Festival, and Hsinchu City Cultural Affairs Bureau Auditorium are offering gifts and lucky draws with ticket purchases. At four major cultural centers, including Taichung Chung Shan Hall, youth-seat ticket holders have a chance to win gifts and enjoy discounts at partner stores. (Editor: Zhang Mingkun) 1150604
