Miaoli's Shanbian Mazu Procession in New Taipei on June 6; Traffic Controls in Sanchong and Luzhou

(Central News Agency, New Taipei, June 4) The New Taipei City Transportation Department announced today that in response to the "Northern Tour to Sanchong and Luzhou for Blessings" event organized by the Shanbian Mazu Temple in Miaoli County on June 6, traffic controls will be implemented on several roads in Sanchong and Luzhou districts, and some bus stops will be temporarily suspended.

According to a press release from the Transportation Department, the Mazu procession will depart from Xianse Temple in Sanchong District at 8:00 AM on June 6. The route will proceed along Chongxin Road, Chenggong Road, Shuiyang Road, Huanhe South Road, Zhengyi South/North Road, Zhongxiao Road, Chelutou Street, Sanhe Road in Sanchong District, and Zhongshan First Road, Sanmin Road in Luzhou District.

The Transportation Department stated that sections with two or fewer lanes in both directions will be fully closed. On roads with more than two lanes in both directions, the outer lanes will be restricted for the procession's passage. When the procession passes bus stops, flexible control measures will be implemented based on on-site conditions, and some buses may not stop.

The Transportation Department urges participants to use public transportation to reach the event, cooperate with on-site traffic controls and guidance personnel, and reminds the public to pay attention to road restrictions and bus service information, and to detour early.
