Rain Area Expands: Heavy Rain Advisory Issued for 11 Counties and Cities Including Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan

(Central News Agency, reporter Zhang Xiongfeng, Taipei, June 4) The Central Weather Administration updated its heavy rain advisory this afternoon. Due to the influence of southwest winds and the active development of afternoon convective cloud systems, short-duration heavy rainfall is likely. Today, local heavy rain is expected in Nantou, areas south of Yunlin, and mountainous areas north of Hsinchu.

The heavy rain areas include: Taipei City mountainous areas, New Taipei City mountainous areas, Taoyuan City mountainous areas, Hsinchu County mountainous areas, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and the Hengchun Peninsula.
