(Central News Agency, reporter Wu Shuwei, Taipei, June 5) The Ministry of National Defense (MND) announced that from 6:00 a.m. on May 4 to 6:00 a.m. on May 5, it detected 7 Chinese aircraft sorties, including 5 that entered the southwestern airspace, as well as 10 Chinese naval vessels and 6 official ships. A total of 23 Chinese military aircraft, naval vessels, and official ships continue to operate around the Taiwan Strait. The ROC Armed Forces are conducting strict monitoring and response operations.
According to a "Schematic Diagram of Chinese Liberation Army Activities in Airspace Around the Taiwan Strait" released by the MND on June 5, the military detected 2 Chinese main battle aircraft and drones in the Taiwan Strait airspace from 9:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. on May 4.
Additionally, from 7:20 a.m. on May 4 to 3:40 a.m. on June 5, the military detected 5 Chinese main and auxiliary combat aircraft and drones in the southwestern airspace east of the median line of the Taiwan Strait.
