Taipei City Fire Department received a report at 7:35 AM about a fire in a building near Section 3, Bade Road. They immediately dispatched 21 fire trucks, 3 ambulances, and a total of 71 firefighters and paramedics to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the fire was on the 6th floor of the building.

After an aggressive rescue effort, the fire was brought under control at 7:59 AM and extinguished at 8:04 AM. Two women, approximately in their 30s and 50s, were assessed as needing precautionary hospitalization. The fire caused furniture to be burned, with a burned area of 20 square meters.
