(Central News Agency, reporter Xie Junlin, Taipei, 9th) A 35-year-old man surnamed Hsu, dissatisfied with the legislative attitude of Democratic Progressive Party legislator Wu Pei-yi, called Wu's service office in Wanhua District, Taipei, and threatened, 'Be careful when you go out, stay alive,' among other things. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office today indicted Hsu for criminal intimidation under the Criminal Code.
The indictment stated that Hsu, dissatisfied with Wu's stance on national defense and military security issues, called Wu's service office on Xiyuan Road, Wanhua District, at around 2:00 PM on January 17 this year. He told an assistant surnamed Wang who answered the phone, 'Now it's my turn to threaten you,' 'Be careful when you go out, stay alive,' and 'Don't you dare not answer my phone.' The assistant reported the incident to the police.
