(CNA, by reporter Chen Yu-ting, Taipei, 10th) A section of sidewalk on Zhengzhou Road in Taipei collapsed this morning, causing the transformer box on it to shift and topple over. The Taipei City Public Works Department stated that the land belongs to the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA). After the Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) relocates the transformer box, the department will assist in notifying relevant units to excavate and clarify the cause.
At 10:41 AM, police and firefighters received a report that a transformer box had collapsed on Zhengzhou Road, opposite the Zhongxing Branch of Taipei City Hospital. Responders arrived at the scene and found that the transformer box had been displaced due to the sidewalk collapse. They immediately notified Taipower and other relevant units to handle the situation.
The Taipei City Public Works Department reiterated that the land belongs to the TRA. Taipower has already arrived on-site to begin the process of moving the transformer box.
