(Central News Agency, Jerusalem, 10th, Combined Foreign Reports) Israel is expected to hold parliamentary elections in October this year. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party announced today that he will run for re-election.

According to AFP, Netanyahu is serving his third term as Prime Minister, with a total tenure of nearly 20 years, the longest in Israel's history. He is currently leading the country through a war and is also facing an ongoing corruption trial.

The Likud Party stated on the Telegram messaging app: "Prime Minister Netanyahu will run in the next election. If it is God's will, he will win."

U.S. President Donald Trump recently told ABC News that he is not sure about Netanyahu's intention to run.

Trump said in the interview: "I don't know. He has had a very illustrious career. Does he want to continue? Because you know, he is a wartime prime minister."

Netanyahu, 76, has previously indicated that he will run in the parliamentary elections expected in October to seek another term.
