The Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) stated today that after the weather improved in the afternoon, it requested military aircraft to assist in transport. A total of 4 military aircraft were dispatched, carrying 279 passengers.
Due to the influence of a stationary front and southwesterly winds, most flights to and from Matsu were suspended on June 8 and 9.
The CAA told the media that after the weather improved today, it activated Transport Plan C in the afternoon. The Ministry of National Defense dispatched military aircraft to assist in transporting Matsu passengers.
The CAA stated that, according to statistics, starting from 2:55 PM, the military dispatched a total of 4 military aircraft for transport, carrying 279 military personnel and civilians to Taiwan.
The CAA reminded passengers that due to significant weather changes in recent days, especially for outlying island flights which are susceptible to fog and thunderstorms, passengers should plan their itineraries early and pay attention to weather changes and flight information.
