(Central News Agency reporter Zhang Jianzhong, Hsinchu, 11th) Wafer foundry TSMC's cash dividend for the fourth quarter of 2025 went ex-dividend today, filling the gap in just 24 seconds, raising the record of same-day fills since adopting quarterly dividends to 22 times.

TSMC's cash dividend for the fourth quarter of 2025 is NT$6.00003573 per share, going ex-dividend today. The total amount is NT$155.595 billion, scheduled to be paid on July 9. The ex-dividend is estimated to reduce the TAIEX by approximately 47.84 points.

Since switching to quarterly dividends in 2019, TSMC has successfully filled the gap in all 27 ex-dividend events. Among them, 21 were filled quickly on the ex-dividend day, with the longest fill time being 15 trading days.

Affected by a decline in U.S. stocks and a 4.48% drop in TSMC's American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), TSMC's stock opened lower today, down NT$10 at the open. However, as buy orders poured in, the stock price rose, successfully filling the gap in just 24 seconds, pushing the record of same-day fills to 22 times.

TSMC Chairman and CEO C.C. Wei held 7,452,349 shares in May and will receive approximately NT$44.71 million in dividends. The National Development Fund, Executive Yuan, holds 1.6537 billion shares of TSMC and is estimated to receive NT$9.922 billion.

TSMC founder Morris Chang held 125 million shares before his retirement in June 2018. If he has not sold his holdings since retirement, he is estimated to receive approximately NT$750 million in dividends. (Editor: Zhang Junmao) 1150611
