(Central News Agency reporter Lin Qiaolian, Kaohsiung, June 11) An unplanned power outage occurred around 8 a.m. today in Kaohsiung City's Gushan District and Sanmin District due to a high-voltage cable joint failure, affecting 4,056 households in areas including Longde Road, Zhonghua First Road, Dachang First Road, and Minzu First Road. Taipower stated that repairs were completed within 2 hours of the incident, and all power was restored.

Taipower's Kaohsiung District Business Office responded in a written statement that at 8:42 a.m. today, a high-voltage cable joint failure caused a power outage for 4,056 households in the aforementioned areas. Immediately after the incident, repair crews were dispatched. The first step was to isolate the faulted section and switch power supply, restoring power to 2,732 households (nearly 60% of affected users) within 2 minutes.

Furthermore, a second power supply switch at 9:49 a.m. restored power to 1,275 households. Repairs were finally completed at 10:41 a.m., and all power was fully restored.
