The Hong Kong Tourism Board announced today that visitor arrivals in May 2024 reached 4.46 million, marking a 9% year-on-year increase. From January to May 2024, total visitor arrivals amounted to approximately 23 million, representing a 14% rise compared to the same period last year.
Among the visitors during the first five months, mainland Chinese travelers accounted for 17.67 million arrivals, while other overseas visitors totaled 5.32 million. These figures reflect respective growth rates of 16% and 7% compared to the previous year.
