A netizen shared on social media today that they discovered an insect in a bento box purchased at Taipei Station from the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA). The post, accompanied by photos, stated that a bug approximately the size of a New Taiwan Dollar 5-coin was found in the bento bought at Taipei Station, sarcastically referring to the TRA bento as 'extra ingredients.' The photos sparked widespread discussion online.
In response, the Taipei Catering and Accommodation Division of TRA left a comment under the post, expressing deep apologies for causing discomfort to the customer due to the presence of an insect in the bento. They stated, 'We sincerely apologize for the unpleasant experience caused by finding an insect in the bento purchased at TRA Bento Box Store No. 4 in Taipei Station during lunchtime. We offer our deepest apologies.'
To make amends and address the customer's concerns, TRA hopes to contact the individual directly, with a dedicated staff member to personally apologize and provide a detailed explanation. (Edited by Chang Ming-kun) 1150617
