(CNA Taipei, June 18) Prosecutors received a tip that a woman surnamed Hsieh and others, under the guise of cooperating with Japanese companies to launch "Rokushiki Investment Plan" and "Korea Trade Investment Plan," illegally raised over NT$70 million. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office today directed the investigation bureau to conduct searches at nine locations and summon six defendants, including Ms. Hsieh, for questioning.
Prosecutors were informed that Ms. Hsieh and others, since 2023, have been recruiting the public to invest in schemes such as the "Rokushiki Investment Plan" and "EX TRADE Investment Plan" in cooperation with Japan's EvanHawaii Inc., and the "Korea Trade Investment Plan" in cooperation with Japan's United Elite Inc. They have illegally raised over NT$70 million, suspected of violating the Banking Act and other laws.
This morning, the Taipei District Prosecutors Office directed the Keelung Investigation Station of the Maritime Investigation Division of the Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau to execute search warrants issued by the court at a total of nine locations, including the residences of Ms. Hsieh and five others.
