VIA Launches Edge AI Brand 'VISVIA' to Promote Practical Applications

(CNA, Hsinchu, by reporter Chang Chien-chung, June 18) IC design firm VIA announced today the launch of its edge AI solution brand "VISVIA," which combines computer vision and generative AI technology to extend artificial intelligence (AI) from the cloud to practical application domains.

In a press release, VIA's Chairman Chen Wen-chi said that the value of AI is not just in model training, but in how it is implemented in real-world scenarios. VIA has been continuously investing in the research and development of semiconductors, embedded systems, and artificial intelligence-related technologies for many years. In the future, it will continue to deepen its focus on edge AI and computer vision to help customers accelerate their intelligent transformation.

VIA stated that VISVIA will assist enterprises in aickly deploying AI solutions through a standardized and modular platform architecture, enabling low-latency, high-privacy, and high-reliability edge computing applications in fields such as industrial inspection, smart retail, smart access control, and smart fleets.
