The Central Weather Administration issued a heavy rain warning for Taipei City this afternoon. The Taipei City Government stated that as of 3:20 PM, the location with the most rainfall was the National Taiwan University station in Daan District, reaching 97 millimeters.
The city government stated that in response to this heavy rainfall, the Taipei City Disaster Response Center was upgraded from its usual Level 3 alert to an enhanced Level 3 alert at 3:20 PM. Emergency response teams have also been established by each district office to promptly handle any emergent disasters.
The city government reminds the public that in addition to short-duration heavy rainfall, there are also strong gusts, lightning, and thunder.
